Yes, I also decided to do away with satellite reception ! Installing the Moho Sail outdoor is feasible as long as you keep all electrical connections , such as amplifiers and electrical plug -ins in a completely dry sheltered situation . I chose to install my Moho in my highest point in my attic , using the cables that were left from satellite connection and having the amplifier and electrical plug underneath in the crawl space under the house .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had Directv and cut the cord. My grandson removed the Directv Dish and replaced it with the Mohu Sail Outdoor antenna. He used the same coaxial cable as Directv. It took him about 30 minutes and I now have really good quality signal to 3 TV's.

You can also use the same coaxial cable line from the dish to distribute the TV antenna signal to all your TVs. Typically, a satellite dish has 2 coaxial cable lines going from the dish to the receiver. You’ll want to check that the correct line is connected to the receivers. Also, if the dish signal was going to more than one TV, you likely need to replace the splitter in the DirecTV box, usually located outside your home, with a full-range splitter. Oftentimes, DirecTV installs a splitter that has filters built-in to eliminate unwanted frequencies. After you check the coax line connection, be sure the antenna is facing the correct direction towards the towers - download this free Antenna Point app, aim the antenna, and then do a channel scan.
