No, an amplified antenna will not bring in these channels.

We live on land between dips and and rises of the land, surrounded by tree and 60 miles from major metro area.. This is the first and only antenna we have tried that lives up to its advertising and we are pulling in over 50 stations. Mu husband installed easily. We did use the previous roof top mount our satellite dish was on for a little higher leverage.
