“We have an old insignia tv it’s not a smart tv. Does this affect it? We can’t even get one channel”

• Make sure you go into the set up menu under channels and set the tuner input to antenna. From the factory, tv defalt is to cable signal and it is not compatible with the digital signal from your antenna. Once changed you need to scan and check you signal. See photos.. hope this helps

• Our current tv isa HDTV, ten years old, and no problems. We are investigating purchasing a smart tv in the next six months as quallity of picture, sound, etc. is so very much improved, too.

• It sounds like you need to add a digital converter to your set up. Your older tv may not have a digital tuner built in.
