I had the same question. Just love how something so essential is purposely left out. I just referenced the product manual and it says you have to plug in 1 or 2 USB 2.0 hard drives. If that weren't bad enough, it doesn't support USB 3.0, so if you attache a hard drive that's USB 3.0, you will only get USB 2.0 speeds.
