QuestionI can't charge this mophie, nothing lights up. it came with a dual charger with same heads on each side for charging my samsung but not one to charge the actual mophie. i have tried my samsung charger cord/head but nothing seems to work?

- Answer I'm sorry I wasn't clear. By "emergency power source," I meant, will I be able to USE the phone while it's plugged into the device, using it as a power source after the phone's battery has run down?

Questiondoes the charger have a lifespan? mine won't charge passed 2 dots anymore. i even left it charging overnight. had it for about a year or so.

- Answer I don't know yet since I just purchased it not too long ago. However, I have another power bank (Mophie) that I have been using for more than 4 years, and it is working perfectly. I don't have to charge it everyday.
