• Yes, charging the power station takes about 8 hours for a complete charge, but you can charge the unit while charging your device.

• Yes, but it takes longer for the power station to charge than it would without a device plugged in.

• I just tested this and No. The USB ports turn off while it's charging.

• The powerstation XL does not support pass through charging, so you will not be able to charge other devices at the same time. However, if that is something you are interested in, the mophie line of powerstation plus products will support pass through charging. They come in up to 2x extra battery, up to 3x extra battery, up to 4x extra battery + USB port, and up to 8x extra battery + USB port.
