• Lights do not stay on, press button to get actual charge status.

• For me the first charge was the most difficult, not sure why. You are using the USB-C port on it to charge, correct? I don't think it will charge from the other two. Also, I check mine an hour or so after plugging it in and then re-plug it back in, that seems to allow it to finish charging.
