This battery can be used with just about any phone. It is not a case battery, you'll just need to plug it into your phone to charge

I imagine It would plug in if your phone doesn't have a case but it is not designed for that. there is a iPhone 6s universe case available if you are interested...

It does require the Otterbox uniVERSE case designed for "universal" accessories made by other companies such as Mophie. If you try to use this battery pack without any case there will be enough of a gap to possibly cause damage to the iPhone's lighting port. If you try to use this battery pack with some other case, it will not reach the iPhone's lighting port. There is a slot on the back of the Otterbox uniVERSE case that all 3rd party accessories slide into to keep them secure. I've owned 4 other cases for my iPhone 6 and 6s, and this case and battery pack are by far my favorite. They're a bit on the expensive side, but they are very well made. I also purchased the Mophie wireless charging pad that can be used with this battery pack and I must say it's even more convenient than I expected to just set my phone with the battery pack slid onto its back right on the charging pad sitting on my nightstand.
