A:AnswerYou are correct. You chose the wrong product. The modem works only with cable. If you don't get your Internet through a cable company you need a different modem.
A:AnswerBest check with your internet service to see if it is compatible. I use WOW and they were more concerned with other things , but had no problems with the unit.
