• Thats how sales work. Intro price, then cheaper price, then sky rocket back up once they've sold plenty and built enough buzz.

• Best Buy pretty much has to do with the sale prices going up and down. When I bought my phone through a Verizon retail store they had it for sell at $149.99 and I was able to get them to price match best buy they had the phone for sale at $49.99
