Love It - Great Android Phone

The "phone" itself is rock solid. Motorola quality from top to bottom. I have paired this phone with an Otter Box Commuter Case, and it is ready for the rigors of my world. I do have some issues with the stock Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, not doing somethings that my old Droid would do, but that is NOT a "phone" issue. Motorola offers a 64GB memory for this phone, but my local BestBuy and Verizon only offered this model with 32GB. Bottom line: I paid $99 and a two year Verizon contract. Good solid phone. I'm Happy!!!

I loveThe droid turbo ballistic. The size is perfect text is easy, camera is great love that you can press anywhere to take a picture, set up was easy to understand. Love all the features and sleekness of the phone and the ballistic texture makes it essy to grip. Finding a case online was easy and fit nicely.it does seem a bit heavy for a smart phone and has to many apps preloaded that you cant remove but love it very happy with this phone and the turbo charge does it job charging super fast.

The device is very quick with multiple programs running. The react to action and being able to open direct to a notification is convenient. The camera takes crisp pictures at a standstill as well as on the fly snaps. Charging is wonderful with the turbo charger. I like the design. Coming from a the smaller Evo4g, the larger phone fits well in my medium size hand. The frame material provides a "slip resistant" grip. I chose the blue ballistic nylon back and it looks very good but there are less case options, and if you will be using a case, there isn't really a reason to get the special back. With everything the phone offers, to include an amazing display, I think it falls short in durability and protection. Mine fell onto a book from a coffee table which resulted in a screen crack. This may be the way things work now, but coming from the evo that took a spill, hitting concrete from a standing position on top of an MRAP in Afghanistan, I was disappointed. Overall though, I am extremely happy with my DROID Turbo.

I am actually on my second Turbo as my first one was defective. I got it the day before leaving for vacation and had it for a little over a week while in Walt Disney World. With a battery requiring charging literally after half a day, sound not working, WiFi not picking up in areas it definitely had strong signal, and pictures that I had taken going from beautiful to black empty squares taking up the spaces my pictures once were, I was more than frustrated dealing with these issues while visiting the happiest place on earth. Anyhow, I gave Motorola the benefit of the doubt and exchanged for a new Turbo instead of switching to a Samsung. While my second Turbo is working much better, it isn't as amazing as it James Franco made it out to be as he gracefully plummeted from the rooftop in the commercial. My battery lasts me through the day with normal use. I stay connected to WiFi about 75% of my day. I'm on and off FB, instagram, and the internet throughout the day, I send texts, emails, and make phone calls too. At best, with normal use for the tech dependent person, this phone gets a full 24 hours. I am very impressed with the quality of the camera this phone has. Even my "defective" Turbo took great pictures while in Disney, to the tune of being able to see individual lights on Cinderella's castle after Elsa froze it. The "selfie" camera is OK. It rates with every other phones front facing camera, nothing spectacular, but handy when you want to make sure you are getting a picture of your face not just an ear or you and half of your bestie. I think that Motorala has once again put way too much bloatware in a great phone. Bloatware that can't be deleted either. It's a shame too, so many people have complained about this. You would think they would get rid of it, make it deletable, or be smart and make a version without it and charge $50 more for it. I know I would pay the extra to have a phone without things like NFL Mobile, IMDB, Google this and that... Other than that the phone is a decent phone, I have had issues with the volume, as many people have complained about. Its a fast phone, not too many glitches, a few updates I don't like but I'm getting used to them. Over all, I like the phone. I don't notice any huge difference between the Turbo and the Maxx. If I didn't get a good deal on this I probably wouldn't have upgraded and gotten some more use out of my Maxx. But, if you are in the market for a new Motorola smartphone this is a good choice.

      Hi SemperRN

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you had while on vacation. I am, however, happy to hear that the replacement device is working better. I appreciate you taking the time to write this review.

I love the feel of back cover and the size. Fits great into my hand! It has really nice sharp screen and fantastic battery life. I would consider it a bit heavy and it does heat up a bit when I am playing videos. Overall I would give it 4.5

My husband and I have had our new Turbos for a little over a month now and have been very pleased. It takes clear, beautiful photos and is ergonomically pleasing (we have the blue phones – love the webbed texture on the back). I talk to my mom a lot and the battery doesn't drain that much. I only charge it every 2-3 days (I don't stream much, but do check email, social media, use some apps, etc.) and don't even have to charge it that long for it to have a good percentage. No complaints so far!

I purchased this phone for my wife who is on the go a lot and needs good battery life. This phone has been terrific for that she plugs it in once a day when she gets home and only for about an hour as it charged up to from 30% to 80% so quickly. The phone is also very fast and is able to handle playing any game our kids have installed. The screen is also well sized and it is easy to hold. Highly recommend this phone!

This Droid Turbo smart phone has been a great phone so far. It has a great clear screen and is very functional and fast. The camera takes good clear pictures and video. The battery life seems very good, it also charges quickly. It is a pretty large phone if you have been using a smaller phone.

Fast operation, battery is great can go for over a day before needing a charge. Speaker sound could be better. Camera takes good pictures. Some of the previous apps are no longer available which is disappointing. Text program is better and worse in ways.

Pictures are great quality, videos rarely buffer, so far very responsive in network or on wifi. Nice large screen, decent battery life (for now, we all know how rechargeable batteries act when they age), and full of nice features. Time will tell!

This is the best phone so far I've seen out there. The camera is unbeatable, very clear when it's used properly. The battery is the best part. I don't have to bring my charger anymore like most everybody else do. I've seen a lot of people at work recharging shortly after noon daily including me when I had my old phone. This phone lasts me for 2 days now before I need to recharge again and if I overuse it, it still last me all day until I get home from work. Recharging is very fast, sound is great. I could care less about the other features that other phones has or others say against this phone..... the Droid Turbo has the clearest camera, best battery, fastest charger and the sound is loud enough for my bad hearing.

I upgraded from the HTC Dna, and this is a massive improvement. Aside from the Lollipop (which is awesome), that camera itself takes amazing photos. It has built in gestures (such as do two chopping motions to activate flashlight, or twist wrist twice to turn on camera) which saves you so much time as opposed to finding the apps. Built in Motorola speech recognition works even when phone is locked by always listening to your chosen phrase, and battery life is great even though I play alot of hi res games. Have dropped the phone 83 times without a case and no scratches. Awesome phone homie.

This phone has a long lasting battery and superb speed. The design feels great in my hand and is comfortable to hold. The Torbo charger charges the phone from dead to full power in about an hour. Would recommend for the frequent traveler.

Bigger & heavier than I thought it'd be. The MOTO feature can be quirky & the messaging features have issues. When I 1st got the phone, it had a facial unlock feature, but after the 1st couple of updates, It disappeared & cannot find it anywhere. Camera is great & battery lasts longer than previous phones. MOTO voice is aggravating because it won't respond to voice commands other than going to google search & picks up TV, Radio & computer speakers , not just your voice or " feature phrase" you speak to use it.

After having the phone for a couple months now I'm overall very happy. My biggest complaint is the ballistic weave on the back does get picked and there are strands around the edge. It isn't tucked into the plastic backing as well as it could be. The battery life is great and the front facing speaker sounds pretty good until you crank the volume all the way up. It gets a bit rattly at loud volumes. The cameras both work well (front and rear). The phone is indeed water resistant, though not water proof.
