• If you are talking on phone while there's a lot of background noise, it will be hugely amplified in the ears of the other party on the phone.

• Depends if you are using the earpiece that fits into your ear or the adapter that allows it ti fit in top of your ear. I would like the volume to be louder as a default. Hearing with background noise will be difficult.
