• yes, I installed "Wear Messenger" and disabled the normal text app on the watch. Wear messenger lets you reply with voice or type. there are many of great keyboard layouts that work great on the small screen. my favorite is the "flick" QWERTY option. you can choose which one you use by navigating the app on your phone after initial installation.

• There isn't a preloaded one but they're are varying options in the GooglePlay Store. I wouldn't consider typing on a watch face though, voice to text is much better. Trying to type on a small screen might prove to be counterproductive.
