• yes. it is fully unlocked by manufacturer. mine will be used in China.

• Yes, iit is unlocked. At least the one I bought is. I would recommend checking with the store ( in case they also sell locked versiin)

• I can only add that I have 3 one on straight talk, one on T-Mobile and one on AT&T. All prepaid accounts for each family member. All we did was pop in the sim card and they recognized the carrier. I would think it would be the same overseas if using a GSM provider.

• yes, it is. It is also explicitly mentioned in its presention - 'unlocked' - meaning carrier-unlocked and therefore open to use with any sim card in the world
