• I can only tell you my experience: I just sticked SIM card from old phone to this new phone without calling anybody and it started working instantly. My old phone carrier was PAGEPLUS Verizon Subsidiary (but they are cheaper). My phone is No contract, I just buy every month what I need on their web page, usually 12 dollars worth, which is sufficient for many phone calls and messages.
