I am on Verizon prepaid and also have a Galaxy s5. I called them to verify that they would put a nano sim in and activate. Yes, they will. Re: return of phone to Best Buy. You have 14 days. If you return with opened package, there is a $35 restocking fee. If you return unopened package within 14 days, no restocking fee.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just bought a Moto G5 Plus and I am a very long term VZ customer, so I guess that makes me "month-to-month" (i.e., I think my previous contract is expired). Activation on the VZ network was painless. Note that I was told by a store employee that the Moto G5 Plus is one of the phones not sold by Verizon that's known to work on their network (VZ keeps an internal list of such phones). Be aware you must purchase an UNLOCKED Moto G5 Plus for activation on the VZ network. Details of my activation: 1) I took my old phone (a Note 4) and the new, unboxed phone Moto G5 Plus to a VZ CORPORATE store. The keyword here is CORPORATE. If at all possible, do not go to a local "Go Wireless" store. Don't forget to take the Moto G5 Plus BOX to the store. Employees will scan SN and EID data from bar code data listed on the box. 2) The CORPORATE store gave me a VZ-compatible SIM card for free (note that a "Go Wireless" will likely charge $$ for same). 3) The VZ employee who handled this transaction effected the phone swap in about 5 minutes. Activation was completely painless. If your old phone utilized an SD card, make sure to mention that before activation because an SD card and SIM card are stored in a single, small "carrier" in the Moto. 4) I then spent another 15 minutes or so asking questions about how to move data from my old phone to the new one and subsequently watched the employee make a dizzying number of Android transactions that finished the phone switch. Totally impressed with that employee's skill and knowledge. CAVEATS: If for some reason your phone can't be activated, Best Buy will charge a restocking fee of $35 (that's the policy in Oregon).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This phone is unlocked and will work with Verizon. In fact, I was a Verizon customer when I purchased this phone. As far as returning it goes, if for whatever reason you decide not to keep the phone you can return it as long as you have your receipt and you are not outside the cellphone return window for Best Buy.
