• This phone Moto G 2024 only has one physical slot for SIM card. It has no eSIM capability

• Hello Howie! Yes, the dual SIM capability allows you to use two separate phone lines for both talk and text. You can have two different numbers, one assigned to each SIM as long as the device is a US retail unlocked device (not locked to any carrier). -Jess
