• The speaker quality is good. About the same as the Moto G4 Play. It's the placement that's the issue. It's on the bottom of the phone. Just like an iPhone.

• I haven't heard the speaker of the G4 but I have heard the speaker on the G5 Plus and the G5s plus. The G5s has the better speaker. Neither is stereo quality but the G5S is decent.
