Yes, it has both a physical sim card slot and what is known as an “e-sim” so technically it is a dual sim phone - although currently both sims cannot be active at the same time. Motorola was supposedly going to eventually put out a software upgrade that would allow both sims to be active at the same time but I have had my Razr for nearly a year now and to my knowledge this has not happened yet. WHAT’S THE HOLDUP MOTOROLA? That being said, you do not need a dual sim phone to have two phone lines on a single phone. In fact you could do this on single sim phones even 20 years ago. The advantage of the dual sim phone of course is that both numbers can be with entirely different service providers and this is very handy when traveling overseas. For example, you can keep you home country number active on one sim while activating the other sim with a local service provider. Now of course if I want to do this when traveling overseas I have to use my older dual sim 4G phone rather 6than my new Razr 5G because Motorola is dragging its feet on its promised dual sim capabilities for the Razr.
