Yes this phone works for straight talk. I have straight talk and I purchased this phone just a couple weeks ago and am using my straight talk account. U will need to decide if u want CDMA coverage with Verizon in which case u will need straight talk to verify the imei number because not all are compatible BUT either way it is also GSM compatible which is AT&T and they are all usable with straight talk because it falls within the Hertz requirement. U Will Need to purchase a Sim card from Straight talk either from Walmart store or walmart online to make phone active. Only costs $1.00 and I had to order mine online as my local Walmart did not have in stock but I ordered to store to avoid paying shipping. Fairly simple but yes this phone one way or the other WILL work with straight talk.
