• Thank you for reaching out! Because the Mount-It! MI-386 / MI-386W is a motorized pull-down mount, there isn't a single "maximum depth" restriction for its installation space. Instead, the depth of your mantel directly determines how high up on the wall the mount's wall plate must be installed so the motorized arm can safely clear it when lowering. According to the manual's Mounting Height Chart, a mantel depth up to 3.94" requires a 3.15" clearance above the mantel, up to 7.87" requires 7.87", up to 11.81" requires 9.84", and a deep mantel up to 13.78" requires at least 11.81" of mounting height clearance. Please ensure you also have enough remaining vertical wall space up to your ceiling to accommodate your specific TV size.
