it grinds from 2 to 12 cup (equal to 2-12 tspn)

Yes. It will grind 1-18 cups worth of grounds at varying coarseness depending on how you brew your coffee. This grinder is every bit as good as the one I spent $140 for at Starbucks a number of years ago.
