There is one extra ram slot, and it is very difficult to access. This laptop uses an inverted motherboard and the ram slots are on the opposite side of it. But, if you are willing to take the computer apart to get to them, the type of RAM you would need would be SODIMM DDR4. The best way to go with an upgrade such as this would be G.SKILL Ripjaws, Model F4-2400C16D-32GRS. Hope this helped.
