To Michael who keeps replying that you do not need thunderbolt unless you are using an external GPU, you are WRONG!! Many people have thunderbolt docking stations that they use to connect their laptops to all of their external monitors and peripherals. Without a thunderbolt port these docks are useless and you end up having to plug multiple plugs into your laptop in order to dock everything.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In addition, this laptop has USB-C port that can act as a DP 1.4 or a standard USB C so there is no problem with data transfer speed or display output. The only thing it doesn't support is Thunderbolt connection for external GPU. You can check MSI or Seller Specification pages. I am using the laptop right now, tested it and confirmed no problem with 4K or file transfer speed!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Check your fact again my friend! You don't need a Thunderbolt to get 4K output. DP 1.4 is perfectly fine for 4K HDR 120 HZ. This laptop has DP 1.4 and I am typing on a 4K HDR 120 HZ (Acer XB273K) to answer your question! You don't need a thunderbolt these day unless you have an external GPU!
