So essentially if one day you wake up and the laptop just stops working, it will be covered. However any physical damage, functionality due to customer replacing non compatible parts by their own will not be covered.
The last statement is very important because if you replace the RAM with a compatible 3200MHz RAM , the warranty still covers it but if you use an incompatible RAM then it isn't.
MSI has one more offering : if you register the laptop on their website then you get 3 month extended warranty.
