It will probably work. However both will run at the lowest common speed and/or timings. Most likely 2400 but possibly as low as 2133. But it will work if the timing of the 2 sticks match. If it refuses to turn on or gives a memory error then the sticks do NOT have matching timings at any speed. It happens once in a while, not often. But it does occur.
