• In MSI dragon center you can set the laptop to only charge to 50% if you only use the laptop plugged in this can help extend the life of the battery over the years. Just remember to turn it back to 100% when you plan to go mobile

• Keeping it plugged in all the time won't hurt it. In the MSI Dragon Center you have options for battery maintenance - you can set it for optimal battery life when you have it plugged in. It will reduce the power in the battery to keep it from constantly overcharging, but honestly this computer is meant to be plugged in and used as a desktop replacement.
