The higher VRAM is very important. I would recommend looking up some articles on this. There is a really good one that is updated at least once a year that discusses in depth the GPU choices, but there are also a fewer good older ones that confirm the vram importance. That being said, as a laptop variant I am not sure how fast any laptop GPU will be handling larger memory (>10 gigs) loads. The most in depth article I have read recommended the 3070 (so 8 gig) for a “serious” DL beginner.
