AM5 and socket LGA 1718 are the same thing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Intel 12th and 13th gen are the LGA1700 and AM5 cpus are LGA1718. The number after LGA just tells you the amount of pins on the cpu and on the motherboard.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your name says it all, but then again you asked a question you already know the answer to so maybe your name is wrong?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.no its not am5 is what AMD calls there socket type but it does have 1718 pins on the board just how AMD does it so people dont go buying the wrong board like intel does there lga 1700 which a person building for the first time could get confused and buy an AMD CPU and intel motherboard which isn't compatible if AMD would call there motherboards lga1718 ,hope this cleared everything up with the understanding of the reason amd calls there motherboard am5 over the lga socket type
