A:AnswerThe card is backwards compatible so it make no difference which version PCI-e slot you have. What is really your problem is, how much power your MB manufacturer sends to the PCI-e slot. This card consumes 60 to 75 watts most likely at peak power consumption OC as much as possible. Anything PCI-e 2.0 or above has at least 60 watts power at the slot. Check with your MB manufacturer and or specs on your particular MoBo for a more accurate power supply number and go from there based on that number.
