There is a way to wire it where it doesn’t matter. See the manual for details but if your streaming f from something like a 4k Apple TV you can wire it to your sound bar, THEN tv and then the tv quality won’t matter. But if you don’t want to set it up that way then you will need a EARC HDMI input
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will need to use a TV with eARC HDMI ports if the TV is the Atmos source, or if you want to connect your source directly to the TV. Regular ARC cannot pass-through Dolby Atmos signals from the TV to the soundbar. The better option is to connect your Dolby Atmos source directly to the soundbar and let it pass the video through to the TV, in which case you can continue to use your current TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As long as your tv is CEC enabled. The sound bar tv is connected via a HDMI cable through the Arc ports,by doing so,you are able to control the soundbar's volumn and power functions with the tv remote.EnableCEC fot tv only.Do not enable CEC for other sourve devices or inputs may switch randomly.Steps may differ on TV brandsSee your tv's user manual for more information.HDMI-CEC trade names are capatible with tv brands such as Samsung(Aynet+),Sharp(Aquos Link),Sony(Bravia Sync),LG(SIMPLINK),Panasonic(HDAVIcontrol/EZSync/VieraLink),Phillips(EasyLink),Vizio(CEC),Hisense(CEC)Your tv will still obtain the DolbyAtmos, dtsx, andDolby vision experience.
