• Chris, iPhone SE has to be plugged in FACING rearward with a case on. It's a fatter phone...so that makes sense, and it works fine. iPhone 6, 7 both work fine facing outward...the way you would prefer. Hope that helps....

• I think it will. Station comes with 3 adaptors, i think one will work with your case. I have an Otter case and station works perfectly! Very happy with station.
