Yes, this would be a very good choice. The resistance is very low when first starting to pedal and there are many places to increase resistance once started up. There are many levels of resistance so you would be able to set it to suit your needs so not to get injured. There is a shelf to hold a tablet. I use a Samsung A7 Lite on the shelf. There is also a water bottle holder.
