“I bought the standard version first and then bought digital copy of crossgen version. Why am I being prompted to insert disk to play next gen version when I purchased the Digital version as well”

Delete the whole game from your storage on the ps5. Then go ahead and install the cross gen version that you purchased from your library of purchases. Once it installs the ps5 will now know that it has the full version installed on it.
