QuestionDetached garage with MIL unit above with son moving into soon and want to avoid 2nd internet bill. Approx 125 ft from 2nd floor cable modem/router. Has anyone setup something similar successfully? Any recommendations on setup?

- Answer Yes put your router in center of house and put your points in a roll heading to your point where you need it. Once you get your mesh system working you start moving your points further away until you got your coverage. I bought 2 sets and have internet thru house and 75feet into the yard all the way around house.

QuestionWe do not have an actual internet provider as we are in a black hole and no service available. Will this work without said provider (att, spectrum, verizon). I work from home and am on video conferencing all day. Data caps?

- Answer No, it's just a router like any other. You need to connect an ISP to the router for it to work

- Answer A cable modem take about 3 minutes to reboot. The Google router takes half of it. If you think it takes too long the problem Is not the Google router but your modem or service provider.

You can connect Nest Wifi directly to your modem with the Ethernet cable to set it up and broadcast your Wi-Fi network. If your modem is a modem/router combo, we recommend disabling the Wi-Fi functionality of the combo or putting it in Bridge mode to avoid Double NAT as it may cause connectivity issues. - Answer I am no really understanding your question. Are you trying to connect a Google Nest WIFI router to a orbi point? If that is your question then the answer is no. I don’t think those two systems are compatible. Good luck!

- Answer You mean 220v rt. It should work without an issue. Just double check the power adapter which should say something like 110-240v

- Answer Does Xfinity offers you a modern? You can just get a modem and then combine it with the Google Nest WIFI router. If Xfinity doesn’t offer you a modern then I recommend getting a Link modern. I need to understand your set up more.

- Answer If I were you, I would go with something that is mesh wifi 6 tri- band. This is a recommendation from someone that tried many different options. And wifi 7 is supposed to be coming out next year.

QuestionI have the older generation AC1200 router but since my home is of multiple storey it couldn't cover all areas. I have 2 AC1200s. My question is, will this newer one AC2200 work as mesh with the older ones or do I have to install separately.

- Answer From everything I have read and understand they are backwards compatible with the older AC1200's. Actually, from what I understand, the router is a AC2200 and the Extenders are AC1200's just in a different package.
