Google Home should work even if you're using your Xfinity modem/router combo. We recommend contacting our support team to check on your Google Home to know why it's not working. You can reach out to us here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp Also, if you purchase Nest Wifi, since your modem from Xfinity is a modem/router combo, we recommend disabling the Wi-Fi functionality of the combo or putting it in Bridge mode to avoid Double NAT as it may cause connectivity issues. And, the Nest Wifi points have a speaker with the Google Assistant, so you can play music, manage your Wi-Fi network, find answers, control your connected devices, and more using just your voice. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I'm not mistaken, theGoogle home should still work with or without bridging to Xfinity. I had a problem where my internet was superslow on the Google wifi. When I called Xfinity, they advised me to bridge so that the Xfinity modem will supply the bandwidth to the Google WiFi router. I have both the Nest wifi and Google WiFi. Tney can be used at the same time. I hope this helps. I connected my nest and google wifi routers on the Google home app and not the nest app. I believe the nest app is going to become obsolete.
