The router has a single ethernet port for hardwiring. It has two ports, one port is required for connection to a cable modem. Additional ports can be added to the system by adding a second router as a node. Please note that the speed is limited on the ethernet ports. I could not get more than 120-130 mbs on a hard wired connection using 1 gb Xfinity service. Apparently a known problem.....check out the user forums on this router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you can add a switch as a downstream from your Google Nest Wifi router by wiring an Ethernet cable to the LAN port of the router. Keep in mind that you can only connect additional ports to the Nest Wifi router, not Nest Wifi add-on points. You can check out this help article to find out more about supported setups : https://support.google.com/wifi/answer/7215624
