“I have brighthouse phone and internet only. I do have telephone jack in my wall. I am wondering with this modem (with no phone jack) will I still have phone service.”

• This modem works with a cable internet only. If you get cable internet, this will connect to cable outlet in your wall and then to either a computer or router to provide internet. This modem will NOT work with DSL. This is a modem for cable internet. Your phone jack and phone service is completely separate. You will have to speak with brighthouse to ensure you have the correct service that meets your needs.

• This is a cable modem. So in order for you to connect to the outside world you'll need to have a Coaxial line to connect to. It's completely separate from your phone line.
