• This is just a Cable modem- no WiFi. It connects to a Wireless (WiFi) router via an ethernet cable. The benefit is that you can choose a WiFi system that meets your needs and upgrade it as performance & your needs change. • The CM-500 does not combine a WiFi hotspot with its cable modem function. It is just a cable modem.
