This device is a modem and does not contain any high level capabiities like NAT, DHCP or DNS. Those capabilities are provided by a router. You can connect one P/C to the modem. Hardware at the service provider will assign an IP address using DHCP and its DNS server will handle DNS lookups. If you need to connect more than one device, you will need a router or get a modem with a built in router. Routers use NAT to allow multiple devices to share one IP address.
