this should be the exact equivalent however, this arris version uses the chip that has been known to be extremely buggy. while I would normally urge people to use arris SB products, in this situation, I strongly advise against them. pick this up. you will not be disappointed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The cm600 uses a 24x8 Broadcom chipset, while old, has a very good reputation. The sb6190 uses the 32x8 Intel Puma 6 chipset and has had some initial major issues, most have been fixed by Intel, but some applications still have some issues with this chipset. The sb6183 uses a 16x8 Broadcom chipset, older modem, but a solid performer. Minor upgrade from a cm600 to a sb6190, assuming your applications do not have an issue on the sb6190. The only bad thing I hear about the cm600 is that can run very warm in some settings and is a DOCSIS 3.0 modem. DOCSIS 3.1 modems do cost a lot more however.
