There is a small security/torx screw at the bottom that can be removed so that the stand can be removed altogether. Like others have stated though, it is designed to stand upright for maximum cooling of the modems internals.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Although I've not tried it, the stand appears to have a single screw attaching it to the modem so it looks like it is removable. The main unit doesn't have any "feet" on it however.
