“Does this modem work with Windstream service. Windstream calls it a "bonded" service. Not sure what that means except for maybe doubling the speed.”

If it is bonded DSL/DSL; it will not work with this Modem. Had this problem with my sister's internet which was Windstream DSL. I sent her my Arias Modem and she couldn't connect.
