Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does work with Xfinity GB internet. I just set mine up with it and it works great. Full 1GB speeds. It is DOCSIS 3.1. Yes, they do want to send a technician out for the initial install of GB service. Why I have no idea. They sent one out to me as well to install their own Xfinity modem. It was something I could have done easily. I then replaced their modem with the Netgear 1150V and just followed the Netgear instructions. It all took maybe 15 minutes or so. Piece of cake. It's just some Xfinity policy to send somebody out and charge you right now for GB install even though they are not running new wiring, fiber or anything. Luckily for me or perhaps not, They were late. Very late. So I got the $20 credit for them missing the window and they credited me $40 also for the install fee! So I made $20 for the install. Just had to wait around all day for them. So much for their 2-hour commitment appointment window....
