I use mine for Ooma, and multiple other connected devices (laptop, and other network connections). The switch doesn't care what you're connecting to it so as long as it works via an Ethernet or GigaBit Ethernet cable for connectivity it'll be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only at the physical level, in that with 5 ports you'll be able to plug in 4 Ethernet-based VOIP phones (the last port is for the uplink). You'll still need to configure them and have enough bandwidth on your broadband connection to support multiple VOIP sessions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most Voip phone modems only require a 100 megabit connection speed, not a gigabit connection speed, but if you plan on putting any computers or devices with gigabit capability, then this unit will allow network expansion to accommodate extra devices if your network cables are CAT5e or CAT6. Basically, this switch is for expanding the number of ports that you have on a Router or Cable Modem Router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, each Ethernet port will be assigned a different IP address. If you notice degradation in voice quality on your multiple VOIP phones (once you add many, many phones), this will be your indication that you cannot expand further.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe so, because your router will address indiviual ip address for each connection it recieves due to each voip device having seperate MAC addresses even when using a switch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it will but the quality of the call will depend on your internet band width and how may phones are active at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes but it more depends on your isp connection cause that would be the main bottlenech
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will not power (POE) VOIP phones, so we have not used this switch to try connecting the Cisco phones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is for Ethernet connectivity over a local LAN network with an Ethernet cable for devices requiring network connectivity or sharing of printers, network drives etc. over network. I would not recommend this product for VOIP phones. There are units that your VOIP provider will install for you to expand your site.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
