“I have Att internet box currently but want to upgrade because it has slowed down. I live in a rural area with no other internet available. Will this work with ATT? Att has told me if I get one through them I need to change my plan”

Att Uverse setups up a cable modem router combo which you can add an router to but your still only going to have the slow speed connecting to the internet through the ATT box. They should upgrade the equipment as part of your current plan I would talk to a different person at ATT to make sure.
