I have it too with about the same size home. My signal picks up well. I was told to put it in a room with as little electronic interference as possible. Basically, don't put it near the microwave/stove, big TVs, anything that pulls a lot of electricity (think of it from a view of a straight line from one to the other). Supposedly has something to do with strong EMPs. I have mine against the outside wall of the room and have the antennae up. Hope that helps some. Best wishes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Every router has some limitations with regard to coverage and varies with each installation. Higher end routers have some ability to beam form or increase the strength of the signal towards the user. Cheaper options involve moving the router to a more central location, not burying it behind a bunch of equipment or metal, An alternative is get wifi extenders that use the powerlines as the wires so you could put an extension in the bedroom. Don't be tempted to grab regular wifi extenders/repeaters unless you can get them close together as they also use wifi to extend their range. I use ethernet wires to extend from my primary router to secondary routers closer to users set up as access points so I have extended wifi coverage througout my home as well as provide closer ethernet connections. Tech support panics when I tell them my smart devices are using ethernet connections instead of wifi as this is the primary source of problems for people.
