• The Netgear range extender is basically plug and play but can also be configured manually to provide the necessary signal strength.

• Search set up for the extender on YouTube. That would be your best option. The instructions that come with it are not very well written.

• The unit comes with an owner's manual that details the configuration process. As far as physical setup is concerned, the unit is plugged into an outlet and an ethernet cable is connected to the right side of the box.
