• No, internet is not free. Once you by this router you must call Comcast/quest/Verizon or any internet service provider to activate it. They need the numbers on the router itself.

• It should still work. Do you at least have an internet provider? Lol, call them and they’ll take care of the rest for you, will just need some of the numbers off of the router itself.
