“Do I have to install any software before using this NETGEAR adaptor. I have a office supplied desktop that do not have wifi card and I can not load any external soft ware. Right now I am using a AT&T supplied adaptor is going bad.”

I have not installed it yet. I'm assuming you must install software before using it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Netgear WiFi adaptor needs the correct driver to operate. Some computers come with the driver preloaded. If not, I believe the adaptor comes with a CD disc containing the driver. The computer we used it on doesn't have a disc drive, so we downloaded the driver from Netgear using a different PC, loaded it onto a memory stick, and then copied it over. Once the driver was loaded the adaptor has been working great.
